Sunwook Kim’s debut recording released on Deutsche Grammophon

In May 2013 Sunwook Kim will release his debut recording on Deutsche Grammophon. He performs Beethoven’s glorious ‘Emperor Concerto’ accompanied by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and Myung-Whun Chung. The Concerto is also paired with Beethoven’s popular Symphony No. 5.

This was recorded live in concert at the Seoul Arts Center in January 2013, the most recent of several highly successful concert collaborations between these artists.

Highlights of Sunwook’s upcoming engagements include his debut at the BBC Proms with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Kirill Karabits performing Beethoven’s 3rd Piano Concerto and return visits to the Hallé and Philharmonia Orchestras with Beethoven’s Fourth Concerto.  He will complete his Beethoven Piano Sonata cycle at the LG Arts Center, Seoul and returns to the Piano 4 Etoiles series at Salle Pleyel in Paris.
